Amos 8:11
Indeed days are coming,
Declares the Lord Jehovah,
When I will send a hunger into the land,
Not a hunger for bread
Nor a thirst for water,
But for hearing the words of Jehovah.
The footnote here is so interesting. It says that the lack of the words of Jehovah is the punishment from the Lord. Because we sin against the Lord, He will not speak to us nor will let us hear His voice.
O Lord, may we confess our sin and ask the forgiveness, so the Lord will not hide His voice from us. He will show mercy and speak to us.
