景気だって「気」だったりなんかしたりしなかったりwww
私は景気良いです。機嫌も良いです。体調も良いです。天気も良いです。
悪いのは金曜日の夜に遂にGが出現したことですが、これも直ぐに倒したので無問題です。
今日は新たな試みにチャレンジで良い感じです。
来月はもっと新たな試みにチャレンジで良い感じです。
絶好調です。
でもボリスが英国首相になるのはいかがなものかと…。
まあ、誰がなっても冗談みたいなんだから、せめて笑いが取れる人でも良いのかなとも思います。
Radio 4のベテラン・コメディアン達がロンドン・オリンピックの間に週3回計6回やったライブショーをPodcastで保存してありますが、こんな下りがありました。
「ロンドン・オリンピックの人気者マスコット！ウェンロック、マンデヴィル、ボリスwwwww」
もうHave I Got News For Youに出演することはないんだろうなあ…それは残念（笑）。

From being accused of insanity by a leading businessman, the Government was then attacked for “pussyfooting around” today by one of the few politicians who appreciates the importance of business to the UK’s prosperity.

Boris Johnson, London Mayor and Daily Telegraph columnist, will have struck a chord with companies, and the people who work for them, by insisting: “The way to get business really motoring in the UK is to cut taxes, cut regulation, create the infrastructure and get behind it.”

Bravo. Yes, Johnson is making political capital out of the Olympics at the expense of David Cameron but then he has invested more in the project than the Prime Minister so he deserves the electoral dividend. But he alights on a simple truth about this dithering jelly of a Coalition, which is that the only thing it’s good at is creating uncertainty. Like all jellies before it, the Coalition wobbles from one um to the next er. As a direct result, companies are not spending money, which means jobs are not being created and votes lost. That’s the one puzzling bit about the current crop in power. The more they obviously worry about re-election, the less likely they are to get it.

だから有権者から投資の見返りを頂く資格があるのです。
とはいえ、知事は優柔不断のブラブラフラフラ連立政権に関するシンプルな真実に火を点けてしまいました。
シンプルな真実とは、優柔不断連立政権は不確実性を創り出すのだけは得意だという真実です。
これまでの優柔不断のブラブラフラフラ政権と同じく、現政権も「えーっと」と「うーんと」の間を行ったり来たりしています。
その直接的な結果として、企業はお金を使いません。
つまり求人も増えませんし、票も減るというわけです。
そこが現政権のよくわからない所なのです。
連中があからさまに再選を心配すればするほど、再選される可能性が減るというわけです。
Balfour Beatty has £1bn of spending on hold while the Department of Energy continues its endless procrastination about the future of UK energy. Think how much cash would be poised to hit the economy if this Government decided on a plan for improving airport capacity. We wouldn’t have built the runways yet but, by golly, we could have taken a decision and be ready to start. What an excellent project that would have been post Olympics, and what a lot of votes.

It’s not a simple case of a bad economy
単なる不景気じゃないんです。
So far this week inflation has risen and unemployment fallen. Economists dismiss these as blips, shorthand for bafflement. Like you’re only as old as you feel, the economy is only as bad as it feels. For a great many it’s not as bad as it appears, on average.
今週に入って、物価は上がり、失業は減りました。

The old assumptions of continuity, that the economy will comply with established orthodoxy, have been usurped by the realities of discontinuity. Digital technology is only getting going as a disruptive influence - it has destroyed many jobs but created many too. The consequences of the banking crisis are unknown. Currents are cutting across each other creating choppy waters, not the smooth flows that academics like. That means it’s not all good. But equally, it’s not all bad.
