the Hawaiian Islands Cruise(11)

On march 30 we left our hotel at 8:45 in the morning.
We spent some time in Delta Sky Club at the airport.

Our plane left Honolulu Airport at 11:40a.m.









We arrived at Narita Airport around 4:00p.m. on March 31.

Thus, my 10-day trip including 7-day cruise was over.

How wonderful to be alive!

I saw holy sunrise from my balcony.





The Pride of America left Nawiliwili at 2:00p.m.
and arrived at Honolulu Port at 7:00a.m..the next morning.

We said good-bye to the Pride of America and we went to
a hotel named Hyatt Regency Waikiki.

We were free all day.
My friend and I enjoyed walking on the Waikiki Beach.
My friend and I took a trolley bus.
My friend and I enjoyed walking downtowns.











We had lunch at a Japanese restaurant named 義経.
I ordered 義経弁当.

We had a rest at our hotel.







I walked 28464 steps in a day.

Fern Grotto シダの洞窟　カウアイ島

We got off the boat and walked in the forest to
Fern Grotto (シダの洞窟).

Fern Grotto is, what is called, “Power Spot.”
It used to be a sacred place where the royal families
held wedding ceremonies.

You can't go into the cave now!





After coming back from Fern Grotto, we went shopping
in a big shop. I didn't buy anything.



We returned to the ship and had a break before going
to last dinner.





We saw NaPali coastline （断崖絶壁）on the deck.

シダの洞窟までワイルア川を船で上る　カウアイ島

A local guide told us ‘Kauai’ means 「かわいい島」.
This island is famous as locations of many Hollywood movies.
But these locations were destroyed by the hurricane in 1992.

Now we went up the river Wairua in a boat.







I saw many people enjoying kayak.









The local guide told us the muddy water of the river
meant it had rained heavily in the mountains.

カウアイ島ナウィリウィリ港に寄港、停泊

Now the Pride of America kept sailing on
for Nawiliwili　Port in Kauai.

We were free all day. We went to the beach
by shuttle bus.

It was Thursday abut many families were enjoying
swimming. Were they on vacation? I wonderd.

They looked all happy. It was nice to see happy people.
They made me happy too.

The sea was calm.
The sea was blue-green.
A boundless sea!
A calm sea!
How happy I am!
