Anne of Green Gables--akage no Anne

Have you ever read a story Anne of Green Gables?

I have never read it in English.
I know the story, because I saw its animated movie
'akage no Anne' on TV. I enjoyed the movie
with my daughter when she was a little girl.

I ordered the Official 100th Anniversary Edition of
Anne of Green Gables.
The book arrived from Amazon today.

This edition was published by the author L.M. Montgomery's
grandchildren. Eight illustrations in the book are from
the Original Edition published in 1908.

I've just read A Not from the Heirs of L.M. Montgomery.
It's amazing a devoted fan in Japan sent a kimono and obi
to Montgomery---at least 65 years ago, for Montgomery
passed away in 1942

I think I will enjoy reading this edition--though I don't
know how long it will take to finish it.

Reading Anne of Green Gables in the original will bring me
back to my dear school days.
