the first day of spring

Today is 'risshun', the first day of spring by the old calendar.
The spring weather arrived, the sky was beautifully blue
but the wind was blowing hard all day.

I went to see a farmer's field of ume-trees near my apartment.
There were more than one hundred ume-trees.

I saw bursting buds on almost all branches of ume-trees.
But I saw only one ume-blossom!

I saw lovely flowers under a tree.
Yes, spring had arrived.
