KPMG launches digital degree apprenticeship

英国のKPMGが、次世代のテクノロジー専門職を養成するため、KPMG360° Digitalという、デジタル技術を働きながら習得できる新しい訓練制度を始めたという記事。（原文はapprenticeship（徒弟）となっていますが、英国では政府公認の職場訓練制度としてapprenticeshipがあるようです。）

KPMG has launched a new digital degree apprenticeship, aimed at preparing the next generation of tech experts

訓練期間は4年で、ロンドン、マンチェスター、リーズなどでオンザジョブ・トレーニングを行うとともに、BPP Universityという大学（職業教育に特化した英国で唯一の大学だそうです）から学位が取得できます（授業料は事務所が全額負担）。

The accountancy firm said the apprenticeship, called KPMG360° Digital, will be a four-year programme combining on-the-job work experience with the opportunity to gain a BSc degree from BPP University in digital and technology solutions.

Students will not be required to pay any fees as the degree is fully funded by the firm, and they will be earning a salary at the same time.

訓練生は、KPMGのテクノロジー・ソリューション、サイバー・セキュリティ、フォレンジック・サービスなどの部門で働きながら学ぶそうです。

The programme will be based in London, Manchester and Leeds, where students will have a chance to work across the firm’s technology solutions, cyber security and forensic services.

イギリス空軍のエンジニアだった人がチームリーダーです。

The UK drones team will have six members to start with, with help from others situated in different business areas – assurance, tax, consulting, deals – and the firm has reported plans to scale this up.

Elaine Whyte, former Royal Air Force engineer and now director at PwC and UK drone team leader, said the firm predicts “significant market growth in coming years.”
