　最初の夜にお世話になる　A Portico Gardens Homestay　の Adrienne 小母さんからメイルが届きました。文章は Hullo で始まりますがこれは決してタイプミスではありません。イギリスの古語です。
　ニュージランドの英語は米語に慣れている耳にはとても聞きにくいですが、時間がたつに連れて昔 Jack and Betty で勉強したイギリス英語を思い出させます。

参考　英英辞書には以下のように説明されています。発音はおなじみの Hello と同じです。
hullo : an expression of greeting; "every morning they exchanged polite hellos" [syn: hello]

文中に出てくる your lady friends というのは、複数で書かれていますから２人で、そのうちに写真で紹介しますが英仏語教室のクラスメイトです。
Yasunori は天王クラブのメンバーで１年を通じて私と一緒に１週間だけニュージランドでビッチに乗ります。彼の家の玄関・廊下に randonneur はピッカピカの状態で飾ってあります。
