18.01.2005 Inamoto extends Cardiff loan

2005-07-07 | cardiff(ina)
「Cardiff City have extended the loan of midfielder Junichi Inamoto from West Bromwich Albion.」

The Japanese international initially joined the South Wales club just before Christmas after falling out of favour at The Hawthorns.
The former Arsenal and Fulham player had only just recovered from a broken leg he sustained in the summer by the time he made the loan switch to Ninian Park.
Inamoto's time with The Bluebirds has proven to be successful enough to allow manager Lennie Lawrence to extend his stay with the Championship strugglers.
The midfielder will be subject to a recall clause, should Bryan Robson's side need the Far East star's services over the next four weeks.

"We've extended Inamoto's loan period for another month, though West Bromwich could recall the player at any given time," Lawrence told the South Wales Echo.
"We're hopeful we can agree to take the player for a third month, but we'll have to see as the situation develops."

Meanwhile, Lawrence has insisted that centre back Danny Gabbidon will not be leaving during this month's transfer window.
The Wales international has attracted interest of clubs in The Premiership, but Lawrence made it clear Gabbidon is a big part of Cardiff's future.

"Gabbs won't be leaving in the January window. I hope he doesn't leave at all," Lawrence added.
"Gabbs is part of the foundations here.
"He has been outstanding in our recent games, so the speculation is clearly not affecting him. I think he'll be with us for a while yet."
