Inamoto 'set for big role'

大きな役割を課せられる、という意味でしょうか?

Bryan Robson today told midfielder Junichi Inamoto: “You can play a major part for us next  season.”
The Baggies boss admitted he has been impressed with the Japanese  international during their pre-season preparations.
He has been arguably Albion’s best player of the summer so far, turning  in a fine second-half performance against Crewe last week before an  influential display in the Sevilla game on Wednesday night.
That was his first full 90 minutes in a Baggies shirt – and Robson  admitted Inamoto’s form made him a major contender for a place  when the season starts next month.

“If Ina can keep playing like that then he’s got a great chance to be  in the team,” said Robson.
“We want competition for places. Wednesday was the strongest game he’s had for us so far and he wasn’t  playing against mugs – Sevilla finished sixth in the league and  qualified for Europe.
“Ina did very well against them.”

Robson’s words will be music to the ears of a player who suffered a  difficult first season at The Hawthorns which included a loan spell  with Cardiff.
“When I first came to the club he had just returned to full training  and he had a problem with a weakness in the leg he had broken,” said  Robson.
“He was well short of the fitness needed to take part in first team  games at the time.
“After the first couple of reserve games and a bit of training I saw he  wasn’t up to coming into the first team.
“Then Cardiff wanted to take him on loan and I just thought it was a good chance for him to play first team football, get his fitness and  confidence back,” added the manager.
“And because he’s been playing international football he’s come back  stronger and fitter than when I first came to the club.”

Inamoto has the qualities to figure
ALBION manager Bryan Robson has told Inamoto he will play a major role this season if he continues his impressive pre-season form.
The Japanese midfielder played his first-ever 90 minutes for Albion's first XI in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Sevilla.
The ex-Gamba Osaka star was arguably Albion's best performer on the night, having also shone after coming off the bench in last Friday's defeat at Crewe.
Albion boss Robson sent 'Ina' on loan to Cardiff in January as he struggled to recover from a broken leg sustained just over 12 months ago.
But Robson is finally convinced that Inamoto, who will not play in tonight's clash against Benfica, has returned to full form and fitness.

"Ina in midfield worked terrifically hard in closing people down on Wednesday," said Robson.
"The lads who stayed on for 90 minutes looked good. There were plenty of plus points in terms of fitness.
"If Ina keeps playing like that he has a chance to get into the team. That's the kind of performance I'm after.
"That was the strongest game Ina has had and we weren't playing against mugs.
"When I first came to the club Ina had just come back to full training and he did have a problem with a weakness in his leg where he broke it and had the pin," he added.
"He was well short of playing first-team games at that time.
"The first couple of reserve games and the first few training sessions that I saw he wasn't ready to come back into the team.
"So when Cardiff inquired I thought it would be a good chance for Ina to get first-team football, get confidence in his leg again, get his fitness right and start playing.
"With all the international games he's come back a far fitter and stronger player than when I first joined the club - that's why he's pushing for a place."
