Why don't people go after the cops that carry out the arrest by protesting at their house when they are off duty? Make them uncomfortable and hold them accountable. They are the storm troopers that the elite hide behind. People get mad at the politicians but they are not the instrument that actually does the work. If the cops refuse to comply with their overseer's orders because of the consequences, I guarantee you the politicians aren't going to enforce any of this crap themselves. I am a retired 25 year cop from America and I can tell you most cops will buckle if you show up and protest at their house.
