5 years since their last comeback! 15 selections of Girls' Generation's airport fashion
Girls' Generation will make a comeback on August 8th with their 7th full album "FOREVER 1". This year marks the 15th anniversary of their debut, so let's take a look at their legendary airport fashion.

I didn't feel lonely when the group went from 9 to 8.

During their heyday, there were times when members would leave and perform.

At those times, I would say things like, "I feel a little lonely."

But they would come back soon, so it was just a luxurious complaint. It was just a complaint to express.

This year has already been 10 years since Jessica left the group.
And Girls' Generation is now in its 17th year.

Children born in the year Girls' Generation debuted are already in the midst of high school.

"Has it been that long already?"

I really feel how quickly time passes.

At the same time, I am amazed at the longevity of the Girls' Generation members.

When they first came to Japan and their activities started to be known abroad, Girls' Generation was in high demand in Korea as well.

They even went to various TV stations to record not only music shows but also variety shows.

After some time passed, I was able to watch those shows on YouTube.

Around that time, there was a program with a theme like "Girls' Generation Members 10 Years Later."

The main topic of the program was the "members' marriage issue." I remember that not a single member had an image of Girls' Generation still being active in 10 years' time (although they had hopes of it).

The discussion turned to what to do after Girls' Generation's activities ended, and the members were excited about things like "who will get married first" and "who will continue their entertainment activities for a long time."

In fact, there were very few examples of idol groups in Korea that lasted long even after they became popular.

Whether it was "S.E.S" or "Fin.K.L", the period of their active group activities was short.

"S.E.S" completed their five-year contract, but the only image left was that of member Yujin's success as an actress.

In "Fin.K.L", solo singer Lee Hyori and actress Song Yuri also left a strong mark, while the other members were less well known. Or rather, there are probably very few fans who remember the two as idols. Idols (groups) are forgotten once their period of activity is over.

Girls' Generation, who debuted in 2007, may have followed the same fate as the previous two groups if they had not been successful in entering Japan and Southeast Asia.

However, Girls' Generation was an idol group. They have survived both as a group and as individual talents (singers, actresses, etc.), and are steadily passing the milestone.

As Girls' Generation approaches their 17th anniversary, of course Jessica is nowhere to be found.

Jessica was only a member of Girls' Generation for seven years (2007-2014), and was only seen by Japanese fans for four years, starting in 2010.

But she still has such a strong presence because those four years were Girls' Generation's most active period.

Girls' Generation's success over those four years was undoubtedly the driving force behind K-POP's global popularity.

Looking back, those four years have felt like a transfer student's time, but Jessica's role was no small one.

Although there are only eight members in this photo, I would like to believe that Girls' Generation's popularity is still due to Jessica's shadow.
