"Filipino single mom in Japan" - 2

2019-04-14 05:30:32 | Duffy's Life Story

I came back to Japan with my son in February 2006. We lived in a small apartment in Tokyo. It was in a very convenient location, there are supermarkets, discount stores convenience stores, hospitals, clinics, parks, and schools nearby. There is a hot spring too which is 20minutes by foot and I loved to go there. I had two Filipino neighbors one family have two children all boys and the other have two girls.

My son was three years old back then, so I gave my full attention to him. In the morning we had breakfast, then prepared ourselves for a walk, we walked almost every day and went to different parks to spend our day, that was our daily routine. My son loved playing at the park. He is very active and friendly. He made a lot of friends there. There I met two Filipino moms whom their child is as of the same age with my son they lived nearby too. Since then we became friends so as our kids. They went to the same kindergarten, at Elementary School Yuta And Hiroki went to the same school, but Taka went to different one. Eventually Taka and his family moved to different city. Since then I lost communication with his mom. Yuta and Hirako remains friends until now.

I started working in a printing company as a part time. It was challenging job, there were competitions amongst foreign employees which I think normal for foreigners working here in Japan. Competition have positive and negative effects, it could make employees productive, it could also cause some work stress. If you are too good for the job others may envy you and make gossips which can lead to trouble. After three years, I resigned. Our needs are getting higher because my son is getting bigger too. I tried working in a club for four times a week, at first, it is like I am just playing singing and dancing with the guests, but later I felt stressed with some of the guests, as you keep them longer they became possessive of your time and attention and some of them became my friends.

Sometime in June 2010 I was rush to the hospital because I had severe headache. It was too painful that I cried my neck and head was to heavy that I can’t resist the pain. The doctor said that I need to be admitted for some medical examinations. So yes, I was admitted that night. The next day they had me released they didn’t find anything wrong with me. I know there’s something wrong with me, I still have headache every day, I’ve taken pain relievers to ease the pain, but it became worse every day. Until one midnight I called an ambulance and rushed to hospital when they check my blood pressure it was too high it was 205/160. I was admitted and this time the doctors thoroughly checked the gain of my illness.
