Fairey 氏は、DJ Diabetic という別名で音楽活動をやる傍ら、『OBEY』というブランド名でステッカーを発売してる。

それより問題なのは、「『OBEY』自体には何の意味もない云々」というくだり。
実際の所、Fairey 氏がステッカーの題材を選んでいる以上、Fairey 氏の意図を完全に消すのは無理があると思うが。
