なんか知らんが、先月イスラエルを旅行していた人が国境警備隊隊員にノートPCを壊された、という騒動があったらしい・・・。

この騒動に巻き込まれてしまったのは、米国出身（現在エジプト在住）の Lily Sussman 氏。

They quized me on Judaism,which I know nothing about.
Then they asked me to wait.
Since they had asked for friends and families phone numbers I assumed they might be calling to verify my answers to questions or confirm I really had extended family in Tel Aviv.
An announcement played over the sound system, interrupting my break in the sunshine.
First in Hebrew, then Arabic, then in English.
It was something along the lines of, ” do not to be alarmed by gunshots because the Israeli security needs to blow up suspicious passanger luggage.”

「必要」だとみなした入国者の手荷物を国境警備隊が銃撃する、か。
何をもって「必要」だとみなすのか色々謎だらけだわな。
つーか、1段落目に書かれてる質問事項も随分とラインギリギリのにほひが・・・。
仮に、成田空港で『Do you have a boyfriend（or girlfriend）? Is he（she） Asian, Chinese, Korean?』と入国管理官が質問した日には、各方面から苦情が飛ぶのは必至だろうし。

で、この後、Lily 氏の手荷物を調べた隊員は「ノートPC（Mac）を銃撃する」と Lily 氏に伝えたという。
当然 Lily 氏は抗議したが、国境警備隊隊員は無視→3発の銃弾が打ち込まれた。
（幸か不幸か、Lily 氏のノートPC の HDD は生きていたけど）
ノートPC がそんなに危険なブツなのかどうか、国境警備隊の人達・・・というよりイスラエル政府の方々から話を聞かせていただきたいわな。
が、（暴走する）国境警備隊隊員達は、Lily 氏が持っていたデジタルカメラのデータ内容を削除することにした。

イスラエルに（占領の）資金を落とすために入国する人達をこんなに手荒に扱うってのは、イスラエル国内に住んでる人達の安全を確保するという理由を差っぴいても擁護できるものぢゃね～っての。
ま、イスラエルがこのような態度を取れてるのは、過去60年以上にわたってイスラエルに甘い顔をしてきた国際社会（日本も含まれる）の責任も大きいのだが・・・。
