去年同様（？）、今回も世界複数都市で行われるこのイベント。
内容は、映画上映や（パレスチナに関する）講座やイスラエルへの抗議デモなどを通して、イスラエルへのボイコット運動（BDS）を呼び掛けるものとなっている。
今年の最初のイベントははカナダのトロントから。
それを皮切りに世界40都市以上で3月14日までイベントが行われる。
で、この一連のイベントには、イスラエルに住んでる or 出身の人たちも客として参加する可能性がある（当然か）。
これに関して、アパルトヘイト時代の南アフリカとイスラエルを重ね合わせられることに抗議してきた The Board of Deputies of Brithsh Jews（英国ユダヤ系住民評議会？）のメンバーである David Katz 氏は、不思議なことを述べていた。

The participation of several Israelis in the anti-Zionist events is "atrocious," said David Katz, a member of Britain's Jewish Board of Deputies who grew up in South Africa and has long fought the comparison between that country's racial segregation and Israel's ethnic divisions.
"They are free to do as they please, but it's atrocious," he said of the participating Israelis.
"I think they don't understand the analogy they are making... which is insulting to those who suffered under apartheid."
"It's like calling things 'holocaust' which are not the Holocaust or terming something 'genocide' which is not genocide," said Katz.

My resolution is, however, not about any of that. I raise it by way of asserting that I or anyone else can debate such issues any time, any place, as long as such a debate is respectful and fair to all who seek to express an opinion,” he said.
“That is precisely what ‘Israeli Apartheid Week’ does not do, and in our free environment, in our hate-free public forum, it has no place.”
