"Tom!" softly over the coach roof.

「トム！」と車の屋根を越えて小さな声がした。

"Hallo, Joe."

「ああ、ジョー」

"Did you hear the message?"

「あのメッセージを聞いたかね？」

"I did, Joe."

「聞いたよ、ジョー」

"What did you make of it, Tom?"

「何か分かったかい、トム？」

"Nothing at all, Joe."

「何も分からんよ、ジョー」

"That's a coincidence, too," the guard mused, "for I made the same of it myself."

「そりゃ偶然の一致だな」、と警備員は思いに沈んだ。「おれにもさっぱり分からん」
