...I'm sorry for a few days absence. Actually I's bit busier last week. Let's resume the very important topic IMPORTACE of ENGLISH. I would like to relate my own experince in this post. Pakistan is an agriculture country rather an industrial one. Therefore, we import lots of everday use electrical and electronic appliances from variuos countries. When I was an elementary school student, I always found Englsih manuals and directions to use that equipment. I used to wonder that English was spoken in all other countries, why not always in Pakistan. but I did n't know there 're hundreds of languages spoken by the different nations and communities. But the most interesting one is KANJI which conveys its meaning through its word structure regardless of reading.
I'm glad to say that MADE IN JAPAN was enough for guarantee of the goods. cont...

I thank to Mr. Ando, Mr. Kobata and Mr. Tsutusi who provide me an opportunity to write a little bit for Senriyama citizens particularly and for the Japanese people generally in the weblog.
English what does it really mean? It is my own brainchild that the word E-N-G-L-I-S-H stands for Efficient, Nice, Galloping, Leading, International and Swift Horse.
How is it! It is like a strong and swift horse that has been advancing for centuries around the world. It has been used as a weapon, sometimes to control other nations and to have advantage over them in scientific research, technology and world affairs.

Though English is not the most widely spoken language in the world by its native speakers, yet is commonly used for the purposes of general communication and business in the non-native English communities globally. cont...........

Meeting

2006-06-26 19:51:38 | Weblog
The meeting on June 26, 2006, organized by Mr. Kobata went very well. Mr.kobata, Mr. Ando, Mr. Tsutsui, Mr. Jintoku, Mrs. Tanaka appreciated the Senriyama's Homepage progress and the growing local blogs. And of course, I was there too but I gave my ear longer than my tongue. I am really grateful to Mr. Kobata who let us know some great techniques for functioning the blog better.
Besides, the international drink and sweet were conducive to our stay longer in the afternoon. And we decided to have party with the unusual cuisine. But when and where....??? Later
I look forward to your comments. Yousaf

Introduction

Hello everybody,
Let me say something about me. My name is Yousaf. I was born in Pakistan and spent most of my life there. I studied English throughout my life. I like English so I obtained my masters degree in English language and literature. In addition to that I graduated in education. ButI found English quite interesting while I was doing my TEFL(Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) diploma. I could brush up my English thoroughly particularly, the PRONUNCIATION. I learned the skills how to cope with the unknown vocabulary in reading it as the native do it. I usually tried it my myself later consulted the mentors. It's really a fun for me because I love to learn and teach it.
After graduating the university, I taught at a high school for four years. Presently I am teaching and managing Smith’s School of English Senriyama for about three years.

PAKISTAN & ENGLISH
Pakistan is one of the commonwealth countries, ruled by the British. it is located in the north-west of India. Pakistan and India got independence in 1947.
Pakistan is following nearly the same education system as was established by the British in the subcontinent. The books and the materials on science and other major subjects are available only in English. And of course the lessons/lectures are given in English too. As I was a high school teacher in Pakistan so I thaught my lessons and communicated with the students only in English there.

The official language of Pakistan is English. therefore, we frequently use it in daily life and other official correspodence.

It is safe to say English is part and parcel of Pakistan.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yousaf.
