イギリスのニュースサイトが情報源になる生活に慣れてきました。
興味深い事件が多発していて飽きません。英語の勉強という名の下、ゴシップ読み漁り。
とはいえMailとかred-topとかのいわゆるtabloid紙のサイトにはアクセスしないというところで線を引いてます。

これはちょっと前の記事で備忘録。
前に5歳の男の子が犬に噛まれて亡くなった記事を取り上げましたが、最近犬による死亡事故が目につきます。
Milton Keynesの4歳とか、Surreyの20代の女性とか。Walesは80代の女性とこの10歳の男の子。

この事件は、人気犬種の売買の問題が露呈したところが怖いです。お母さんが顔出しで悲痛な話をしているのも生々しい。
犬の写真と犯人の写真が強烈。そして潜入記事がすごい。以下引用はリンク先の２つの記事から。

housing estateはonなんだ。試験には出ないけど。

strokeってゴルフとかのイメージなので打つ感じだけど逆なんだよね。strikeに似ているのもなんか紛らわしい。

Later, speaking outside court after the hearing, Jack's mother accused Hayden of showing "no remorse or respect" for her son.

Both Hayden and Salter were told they would be banned indefinitely from owning dogs when they are released from custody.
女は巻き込まれて３年。19歳はすげー浅はかだけど飼いはじめて５日目の事故。売りつけたブリーダーが悪いのに。co-ownerではないのかな？

First, he says, it's lucrative. Second, it's useful for money laundering.
犬がお金儲けや犯罪に使われているのが嫌な気持ちになります。犬も可哀想だし、被害も怖い。

scrutiny lucrative 頻出なのに覚えられない。。犬は怖い。
