The world's mega-rich individuals possess wealth exceeding the "national budget" of an average country.
In terms of their wealth, they are considered "supra-national entities."
They can spend their wealth however they please without anyone being able to say anything about it, not even nations.
Nations have various regulations and controls, including constitutions and oversight by stakeholders such as citizens.
Even presidents or prime ministers cannot spend money freely.
However, there's no control over how mega-rich individuals use their money.
They can use vast sums at their discretion.
Furthermore, the wealth held by mega-rich individuals isn't solely built by their efforts but is also a result of the infrastructure of a "peaceful and stable society," which could be seen as the collective effort of many people's blood, sweat, and tears.
They were able to build their wealth because they could use this crucial infrastructure essentially for free.
Yet, those who support this essential infrastructure are incomparably poorer than the mega-rich individuals.
Some are even living at the brink of survival.
If the world were a "world of 100 people," those who support the infrastructure of a "peaceful and stable society" would become the ruling class and the wealthy.
In such a "world of 100 people," mega-rich individuals, who are winners in a "world of 8 billion people," might become not just useless but burdensome.
At the very least, in a "world of 100 people," mega-rich individuals are unnecessary.
Unless we reconsider the current capitalism that creates supra-national mega-rich individuals, a "doomsday scenario" depicted in SF movies might come to pass.
