２月１１日に京都に滞在した時、前の晩から『明日は雪ですよ！起きたら真っ白になっているでしょう！』との事で、帰りの新幹線の心配より京都の雪景色を楽しみにワクワクして寝ました。
朝、早起きしてカーテンを開けると、どうやら少し前に降り出した様子。
そこで、町中が、この雪なら、三千院辺りはもっと雪が深いと思い、朝食も食べずに三千院目指して出かけました。
ところが、大原辺りに行くと雪が町より少ない。。。。タクシーの運転手さんも『変ですね。。普通はこちらは雪が多いんですけどね。。。』
でも、ほとんど人のいない、うっすらと雪化粧した三千院とそのの回りを散策できました。朝の早起きは、やっぱり『三文の得』
お正月の大雪がまだ残っていました。
京都はどこを撮っても絵になりますね。
今度は桜の頃に京都に行きたいものです。
On the night of 11th of February as I stayed in Kyoto, I heard "It's going to snow tomorrow! Everything will be white when you wake up!" so I fell asleep excited to see the beautiful winter view of Kyoto ignoring the worry that the train might not be working to go back home.
In the morning, I woke up early and opened the curtain to find Kyoto with snow drifting in the air.
I thought to myself, if it's snowing this much in the centre of the city, there are more in the northern parts near Sanzenin.
However, as I arrived, there were less snow than in the town.
Nonetheless, I could enjoy a walk around Sanzenin on the new snow with no tourists around. After all, “the early bird catches the worm".
