My life

About the Toyosu Market.

I said on my blog on the 10th of September 2016 " Ms. Koike, the Tokyo Governor, is from the Liberal Democratic Party so I didn’t think there would be any great changes from now.  However she is doing a good job at the moment.  If she continues doing a good job then I will support her".

At the press conference on June 20 Ms. Koike announced that she will relocate the Tsukiji market to the Toyosu site.

As I thought, she did not listen to the opinions of the citizens of Tokyo and the Tsukiji market people.

She did not say anything about contamination measures in the Toyosu market and she received questions from only three reporters.

Things have become like the LDP.

She did not mention food safety and security issues.

I was disappointed.

That’s it.

I absolutely oppose it.

Two friends are talking about the news in a coffee shop.

ⒶHave you seen this article about changing the Constitution of Japan.

ⒷYes, I read it this morning.

ⒶI can’t believe it.   Shinzo Abe is going to legalize war.

ⒷYeah. It seems like a good idea to me.

ⒶA good idea?  You’re wrong.

ⒷNo, really.  It’s about protecting the country.

ⒶBut think about it.  They make weapons in Japan and sell them.  And they make the Self Defense Force(SDF) fight as an army.  Then your son and young people are drafted into war.    Shinzo Abe legalize war?   Isn’t it crazy?

ⒷI don’t feel that way.  I think it’s about time.

ⒶOh no !  Oh my gosh!!!

How about your opinion?

Walking in the Tama area (No. 21).

I went to Mt. Takao with my wife and my son-in-law last Sunday.

We started out from Takaosan-guchi Station on the Keio Line at 10:40am.

We arrived at the top of Mt. Takao at 12:53, using the No. 1 route, No. 4 route and the Iroha no Mori course route.

         Top of Mt. Takao.

There is only one suspension bridge on Mt. Takao on the No. 4 route.

We had lunch at Momiji-dai crossing Mt. Takao.

After that we walked to Shiroyama, Kobotoke Pass and the Kobotoke bus stop.

   Top of Shiroyama.

 Chuo highway congestion. Lake Sagami.

              At the Kobotoke Pass.

We arrived at the bus stop at 4:30 pm and Takao Station on the Chuo Line at 5:00 pm.

Then as usual we found a small eatery in front of Takao Station.

The food tasted good.

We met the Shiroyama teahouse's shopgirl in the Asakawa pub.

The number of steps we walked today was 12,993 steps.

I worried about my lower back pain but I had no problem.

I had surgery on the waist two and a half years ago, and this time I walked the mountain without

a walking stick for the first time.

I was very relieved.

That’s it.

2017,6,10 Kirie art of Jiro Takidaira.

2017-06-13 01:05:12 | 絵画

I went to Mitaka City Gallery of Art to enjoy paper cutouts yesterday.

Jiro Takidaira was a woodcut artist and Kirie artist (the art of paper-cutting).

I was familiar with his paper cutouts, but his woodcuts were marvelous.

I like his works of art.

I had a good time.

That's it.

My favorite prefecture is Tochigi prefecture.

2017-06-03 22:04:51 | 国内旅行

I like hot springs.

There are many hot spring villages in Tochigi.

The number hot spring sources in Tochigi prefecture is about 630.

It is the hot spring paradise of the Kanto region.

The hot springs are: Nasu, Shiobara, Kinugawa, Kawaji, Yunishi-gawa, Nikkozawa, Kaniyu, Teshiro-zawa, Santo-goya, Kita, Ashino, Daimaru and so on.

My wife and I went to Shiobara, Kinugawa, Kita and Daimaru hot springs.

We can get to Tochigi in about two hours.

That's it.
