Tropical Botanic Museum on Dream Island
Tue. December 14 : fine
I arrived in Tokyo one day behind the schedule. The accommodation this time is not in Shinjuku but in a “‘Rubbish Island”, Ariake. Odaiba and Tokyo Disney Land are very close from there. At Tropical Botanic Museum on Dream Island they cultivate plants from Ogasawara Islands using the heat that is generated by burning rubbish. Actually Ogasawara Islands are in the subtropical zone. Only Okino-torishima is in the tropical zone in Japan. A rock with a diameter of under 1m is protected from sinking with the titanium wall.
