マイルストーン

　誕生日が来て思うことは自分の寿命のことです。飼い主がいなくなったペットはあわれです。
シャル君19歳私は73才ですが、馬の寿命は大体30歳前におわっています。とすればあと10年は元気でいて、面倒を見てあげたいなと思っています。
いま新しい目標を立てるとすれば、健全な十年をこれから努力して送ることです。

July 12th is my birthday. I am 73 years old now.
I need a milestone for the next 10 or 20 years.
At present my concern is my horse Charle. I always wish for him to live a long full life.
He is 19 years old now and usually a healthy horse’s life span is about 30 years.
That means Charle has at least 10 more years to live and enjoy this earth.
I have to be healthy so I can take care of him for the next ten years.
The other day a former member of M-san visited the club for some business. We had some small talk.
I told him that I want to be fine for ten more years at least because of my horse.
He asked: Are you going to ride until that age?
I replied: I just want to be with him as long as he lives.
Then he understood.
How miserable it would be for pets to lose their owners.
So my goal is to keep myself well and healthy for Charle.
