Hello, genius here! ^__^

Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog. This is my first time to write in English and the second time to have a blog. My first one was in Czech, which is not really known around the world. So in order to be more international and to find new friends, I`m going to write in English. Now to answer some questions. Who am I? What is the purpose of this blog and why am I blogging here?

So, who am I? My name is Katerina and I`m 21 years old translator from Czech Republic. I translate from English and Japanese to Czech.
I love Japan and Japanese culture and I`m planning to move there in two or three years. I`m obsessed with cute and colorful stuff, and this is one of the reasons why I like Japan and why I write here. Because the smilies here are just soo cute. So be prepared, because I`m going to use them a lot. I like drawing, playing piano and other musical instruments, programming and so on. I especially love to learn new languages and scripts. But basically I like to learn all new things, because everything is interesting in some way.

What is the purpose of this blog? Like the title says I`m supposed to be a genius. I have an IQ of 186 points. I know, sounds crazy, right? But I`m not here to brag about myself. I`m not better than anyone else. Just really different. If you know characters like Dr. House, Rodney McKay from Stargate Atlantis or even Severus from Harry Potter series, then I am like them. I know it seems that people like them don`t exist. But they do. And we`re not so evil like they like to portrait us. I want to write about what life is like for someone like me. My social and emotional IQ is around zero and it leads to some very funny situations when I completely misunderstand what people are trying to tell me. So life from my point of view will be the main part of this blog. The other part will be filled with reviews about anime, movies, tv shows, books and games that I`ve finished and liked. There will also be a lot of music reviews, because I`m a big fan of JRock. So, stay tuned.

And for the last part. Why am I writing here and not on some English blogging site? Personally I thing that this site is way more cuter and user friendly than many others. Also blogging here will help me with my Japanese reading skills. The reason why I`m writing in English is, that my kanji skills are still not good enough. I know only about 800 kanji characters so far. But I will have to try hard and study a lot, because in December this year I`m going to do the JLPT 1 certificate. So wish me luck.
