Why did you come to Canada?

世界住みやすいランキング上位だったので一度きりの人生、体験してみたかった。
I saw how vancouver is at the top of the ranking for nicest city to live in. I wanted to live here once in my life.

What are your goals here in Canada?

ネガティブを直す。夢を叶える。自信を持つ。

来たのが１０月。雨ばかりでまだわかりませんが、夏が楽しみです！
Fix my negativity, have some confidence and make my dreams come true. I came in October and its been lots of rain.
I'm excited for summer!

ちょっと遅くなりましたがあけましておめでとうございます。

さて、ＤＡＶＩＥ店のケンジです。

 

元旦にＭＩＳＡＫＯさんのお家にご招待頂きました！

 

お料理上手なＭＩＳＡＫＯさんから、なんと御節でお正月をもてなして頂き、

鯛のカルッパチョや夜にはすき焼きまでご馳走になりました！

本当はお頭つきの特大の鯛も頂いたのですが

すみません、食べるのに夢中で写真撮り忘れてしまいました

I'm alittle late for this but, Happy new year!!
We look forward to working with you this year aswell.

Anyway, This is KENJI from the Davie branch.
For new years eve, we were invited to Misako's house.

Our boss Misako, who is an excellent chef, made us all kinds of Japanese traditional new year goods such as fishes and hotpots.
There was suppose to be a picture of a giant sea bream dish but
unfortunately I was to busy eating it that I forgot to take a picture...

日本よりも日本の伝統や文化を堪能する事ができ

カナダにいる事をすっかり忘れてしまうくらいの

楽しいひと時でした

 

食事の合間にはＭＩＳＡＫＯさんから仕事の話、人生の格言など、

新年からとてもポジティブになれる話をして頂いて

今年一年頑張るぞと気合の入る特別な日でした

 

そして、ＭＩＳＡＫＯさんの愛犬たちにとても癒されたのでした～！

Having the dinner at Misako's house felt more like Japan
then when I was actually in Japan.
I totally forgot the fact that I was in Canada.
I had a great time.

During the meal, Misako talked about work and life.
Her talked encouraged me to be positive for whats ahead.
The day made me want to work harder for the coming year.

And I was soo touched by the cuteness of Misako's dogs

Why did you decide to become a hairstylist

子供の頃通っていたサロンの美容師のお姉さんがかっこよかったからです。
My hairstylist that i used to go to when i was still a child was very cool

Hobbies or skills?

趣味は映画観賞、特技は指を異常に曲げられます。（詳しくは実際に見てください）
For hobbies i like to watch all kinds of movies.
For skills I can bend my fingers quite far.

Why did you decide to leave japan?

カナダやアメリカ等色々旅行に行けて実際に住んで仕事をしてみたかったからです。
I've been to places for vacations and it made me want to actually work outside of Japan.

久しぶりの日本食

そろそろ美味しいお寿司が食べたくなったので、休みの日のランチに

ダウンタウンの『炙り MIKU』に行きました

Recently I started getting the craving for good sushi,
so i decided to go to MIKU in downtown during lunch

想像していたのと違って、とても綺麗で繊細です
the place was different from what i imagined. It was very clean and traditional

ワサビ醤油ではなく、アボカドソースやゆずの味付けになってます

寿司職人もサーバーの人も元気が良く、気持ちよく働いていたので

食べ物にも良い気が満ちていて、心も満足しました

It wasnt just wasabi soysauce for the sushi.
There were avocado sauce as well as yuzu flavour sauce.
The chefs aswell as the servers were all working hard with enthusiasm.
The food was delicious, we were very satisfied.

クリスマスに１泊でウィスラーへ行ってきました。

クリスマスはいつも天気が悪く寒いです。

こんなつららがあったり

On christmas I went to Whistler!
The wheather was pretty bad. it was so cold.
There were icicles this big!!

頂上へ行って写真を撮ったら凍傷になるかと思いました。
I thought that I might get frost bite
when I went to the peak to take a picture

でも雪が沢山あり最高でした。
But there was lots of snow so it was awsome!

We decided to go to the christmas market aswell!

ソーセージ　チーズ　クレープ

いろいろな食べ物があり

雑貨もたくさんありました

Sausages, cheese, crepe
There were all kinds of food aswell as goods!

マーケットの中には

小さいメリーゴーランドもあり

子供達が楽しそうに乗っていました

大人には　ホットワインがありましたよ

とても暖かい雰囲気のマーケットでした

at the center of the market place,
there was a big merry-go-round.
There were lots of kids having lots of fun.
For adults, there was some hot wine.
The market place was very nice and had a warm atmosphere.
