新eMac…じゃなくてiMac for education

新型eMac…ではなく、iMac for educationが発表されたようです。

まだアップルのページでは確認できていませんが、MacNNの記事によればスペックは以下の通り。

• 17" wide screen LCD
• 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
• 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM
• 24x Combo Drive
• 80 GB HDD
• Built-in iSight, Wi-Fi, microphone, speakers
• Intel GMA950 graphic chipset (通常のIntel iMacはATI X16000←# おいおい)
• $899

すぐにApple Store for Educationで購入可能とのことです。日本では2006-07-05 22:44:38現在、まだ販売開始は確認できていません。

これでとうとう最後まで残っていたCRT Macは完全に姿を消し、またPowerPC Macで販売されているのはPowerMacintosh G5とXserveのみとなりました。
