3 questions entrepreneurs need to ask themselves

Football great, Lionel Messi once said, “It took me 17 years to become an overnight success” and I can say for sure that this quote can be relatable to any business enterprise. A business does not become a success on its own. There are countless hours of hustle, preparation, strategy, action, coordination and everything else. Successful entrepreneurs continually adapt, and the day they stop, all their hard work that they had put goes to bust. Some people think that all they lack is an idea but in reality, conceiving an idea is just the first step and from thereon begins the grinding work. The process of building an enterprise is a grueling one and an entrepreneur must be motivated in order to achieve what he seeks and thus there are several questions that he must ask himself to see if he is ready to take the plunge and stand that grueling ordeal.

What is your motivation?

The first question is indeed to know where his motivation lies. The most successful businesses were built by people who had a motive behind making what he desired and what he thought could truly turn out to be made use of by the masses. Travis Kalanick started Uber because he could not find a decent cab service in order to rent to go to his place in the middle of the night. The CEO of Airbnb could not find a comfortable place to live in the city and thus he started something that people could use and have a comfortable stay and the list goes on. If you are motivated, you will always find a way and make sure that the work you are doing is motivated by your desires.

Are you passionate about what you are doing?

This question is again to check whether you have the willpower and endurance to stand your ground when things go downhill. Whether you have the ability to be courageous in the face of a nightmare and if you are man enough to go the distance and the answer to all those things is going to be in the affirmative if you do he thing you are passionate about.

Are you learning from your mistakes?

Entrepreneur is also a human being who sees failures as the stepping stones to success and learns from his mistakes. As human beings we all commit errors which may be due to our inexperience or due to certain choices that seemed right but things did not go the way they were expected to be. And if you are learning from your mistakes, you are on our way but if you are not, the best time is now to think it over and start doing so.
