Examples of skin pigmentation, such as brown spots and blemishes on the face, are diagnosed as senile (solar) lentigines, seborrheic keratosis, melasma, and so forth.
However, whatever their medical classification and diagnosis, there’s no doubt they look unsightly, and many people like to have them removed.
There are various ways to remove brown spots and blemishes; applying an effective whitening cream is one good, low-risk method, although it takes several months to complete.

Using a laser machine is an alternative way to make your skin spot-free.
It is probably the fastest, most thorough solution.
Here is an example case of a lady who had a prominent brown spot on her right cheek, measuring about 1cm in diameter. When she came to our clinic she had already spent a considerable amount of money on whitening cosmetics, and in vain.
(Before)
The brown spot was diagnosed as a senile lentigo that might have been formed through exposure to the sun in the past.

This is how brown spots are removed. A topical numbing cream is applied as a local anesthesia, followed by laser irradiation..
(Just after the procedure)
In the photo above, you can see how the lentigo is being degenerated by the laser’s pulse beam.
The treatment takes less than five minutes to perform.
It is indeed amazing, and brown spots need no longer a worry to anybody.
(Photo, 1 week after)
One week has passed.
The scabs are beginning to come away naturally, but please do not pick them off yourself, since they also act as coats of the newly-born skin.
(After ten days)
This lady's scabs completely came away after ten days at home.
(Before→After)
Been worried for the last five years?
Things are so different these days; now it just takes five minutes to banish such worries for good!
However, there's a final word of caution:
Once you've had the treatment, in order to ensure good results, please avoid prolonged exposure to the sun for a while.
Please don't forget to use sunblock on a daily basis.
Remember, prevention is better than cure!
Although the single eyelids of Asian women may seem beautiful and mysterious to Westerners, some Asian women with such eyelids have different tastes. This is often because of the influence of Western movie stars and models who have beautiful double eyelids and are active on the international scene. Young Asian women tend to want to have eyelids like those of their idols as large eyes with double eyelids look very attractive to them.
There are some cosmetic products available for making instant double eyelids. However, these contain gluey substances such as rubber latex, which are not good for the skin and they’re time-consuming for daily use.
Is there any solution?
Yes, there is a procedure called non-cutting eyelid crease surgery.
The doctor uses an ultra-fine needle and thread to make one or two sutures and bury them under the eyelid skin, which adds a natural fold to the upper eyelids.
Is the procedure very painful?
It is not completely painless, but the pain is minimal. The doctor uses a special local anesthesia containing a numbing solution, a pH controlling substance and a certain enzyme that suppresses swelling and bruising.
How long does the procedure take?
It takes around 10 minutes. It’s probably quicker than doing your make-up!
Once the procedure is completed, how long does the double eyelid last?
In theory, it should last almost permanently. If the thread sould snap within two years of treatment, we offer free retreatment.
Here is an example of a young Asian woman who had this procedure done.
Please see the photos below:
(Before)

The client longed for double eyelids as she thought her eyes looked plain.
(Just after treatment)

Soon after the procedure swelling begins, so for about a week the width of the double eyelids will be larger than the proposed lines.
(One month after)

How beautiful yet natural the change!
What is also incredible is the fact that this transformation has been achieved through a non-cutting procedure.
If you compare the photos closely, you may notice that the redundant upper eyelid skin is slightly raised and now reveals the whole iris, because the folds made by the threads have the effect of shortening the lids.

The definition of beauty and aesthetic taste may differ from person to person, and from country to country; it can even change depending on the period in which we live. But please remember that you are your own top beauty director and we at Le Coquelicot will always strive to be your best consultant, helping you in whatever way we can.
There are many reasons why one might want to have a tattoo removed.
If a tattoo is preventing you from getting a certain job or promotion and/or attaining any of your goals, it is worth considering having it removed.
Imagine the positive element in no longer being burdened with a tattoo you seriously regret.
If you have a tattoo that you wish to have partially or totally removed, it is necessary to first consider the options and then decide which method is best for you.
The most common method for tattoo removal is laser treatment.
At Ginza Coquelicot Clinic we use a safe and advanced Q-switch YAG laser that removes various coloured tattoos. This laser is also used in the removal of brown spots and birthmarks.
A lady patient of ours had been tattooed in America when she was younger. Her tattoo was of a butterfly measuring approximately 5 x 5 cms. When she became a little more mature she decided that she wanted the tattoo removed but was worried about possible scarring. She chose to have a series of laser treatments (5 sessions repeated at 8-weekly intervals).

Please look at the photos below (left to right - before treatment, following the 1st, 3rd, and 5th treatments respectively).
As can be seen, the pigment of the tattoo became lighter after each session.

A few more sessions would have completed the treatment but as she was due to soon leave Japan, the patient decided it was necessary to speed-up the treatment. She decided to have the remaining traces of the tattoo excised by our plastic surgeon. Excision of a tattoo is a moderately invasive procedure but our surgeon is able to completely remove the tattoo is one go and with minimal scarring.
The excision of tattoos will be explained in Part 2.
Although laser treatment is the most common method of tattoo removal (please see Tattoo Removal – Part 1), for those who require a speedy removal, excision is an option.
In order to ensure minimal scarring, our plastic surgeon carefully considers and decides upon the area of excision. Depending on the size and shape, some tattoos may require more than one separate treatment. If the area to be excised is very large, skin grafting may prove necessary.

The photos below illustrate the steps of the procedure:

The Nasolabial lines are the two prominent creases that appear around the mouth when you smile. Aesthetically these lines have a negative impact on your beauty in the sense that you look tired or old. Imagine a portrait of your grandmother. Did you notice that you added Nasolabial lines to her face unconsciously? These lines are considered as the symbol of aging, or senescence.
Please look at the photo below. The Nasolabial lines appear on both sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
Before

The anatomical lines have been there since you were a baby. However, over time facial expressions gradually make creases or folds more prominent to the point that they appear even when you are not smiling.
Why ?
This is actually the natural course of the aging of your skin.
On the outer surface of the skin, called the epidermis, skin turnover becomes stagnant and delayed, resulting in a thicker and hard keratin layer.
In what we call “the real skin”, that is the dermis, the collagen renewal process gets slowed down while the destruction of the old collagen is taking place. This causes the skin lose its elasticity.
Below the dermis is a layer of fat called the subcutaneous tissue, which becomes atrophic and saggy because of senile cell reduction and the continuous stress of gravity.
As a consequence of all above, Nasolabial lines or any other facial wrinkles are formed and become noticeable. Sundamage also accelerates your skin aging since the ultraviolet rays can disrupt the cell functions and can even affect DNA.
A quick correction can be applied to these lines using fillers such as Restylane (hyaluronic acid) and Radiasse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite). The folds in the central area of the face present a greater challenge, even with surgical procedures such as a facelift. If you consider the manner in how these lines become prominent, you will recognize that a filler is needed to strengthen and compensate for the compromised structure.
Here is an example of a correction to the Nasolabial lines with facial sculpting using Restylane(hyaluronic acid). Alternatively, Radiasse (Calcium Hydroxylapatite) can be used with a longer lasting effect as it stimulates your collagen production.

Is beauty skin deep?
Indeed it is. If you understand the aging mechanism and take advantage of medical help to turn back the clock, it is quite easy to revive your beauty again and again.
No need to hide behind makeup or sigh away looking in the mirror, just ask our doctors.
Have you ever wished that your nose was straight; that you could rid yourself of that annoying bump which spoils your profile? That can easily be achieved with an injection of such ‘filler’ material as either Restylane or Radiasse.
A touch of extra volume can make an enormous difference to your looks. Being a non-invasive treatment, this procedure takes only 10 to 20 minutes to perform. You may feel some discomfort in the targeted area but, given local anaesthesia, the pain is minimal. Moreover, make-up can be applied immediately after the treatment.
Here is an example of non-invasive rhinoplasty with Restylane:
(Before)

This young woman had a slight bump on her nose but did not want to undergo any surgical procedure. Therefore, the doctor used Restylane filler to make her nose profile appear smooth.
(After)

As the body gradually absorbs hyaluronic acid such as Restylane, the effect is non-permanent which means you can decide what suits you best; you can take control of how you look.
(Before→After)

Now available at Le Coquelicot Plastic Surgery we have a longer lasting filler, a brand new FDA approved material called Radiasse.
If you want to retain your Restylane look, you might like to have a repeat procedure using Radiasse.
BOTOX has proven to be effective for various problems other than wrinkles: excessive sweating for example. It can also relieve migraine headaches.
Another and perhaps surprising use of Botox is in jaw reduction. Those people who have a square jaw tend to have strong facial bone structure, which is often strengthened and thereby emphasized by the masseter muscles. The best and fastest treatment for reducing the mass of masseter muscle is a laser-like treatment called TCR (*) but BOTOX can be a milder alternative. The resulting jaw reduction through the use of BOTOX may not be as dramatic as that of TCR but it has the great advantage of not requiring any recovery time, enabling one to resume routine daily activities immediately after treatment. In both procedures the final results become apparent a few months after treatment.
(*) Temperature Controlled Radio frequency.
This first picture is of a young man prior to his Botox treatment.

Three months later (as in the second picture) the shape of his face appears slimmer and slightly tigher. Nobody would imagine that he has had Botox treatment!
If you seek a mild jaw reduction or secret facial ‘weight loss’, BOTOX may be just the treatment for you!
*In this weblog, we put a letter from the patients who had breast augmentation surgeries in our clinic. We, the staff of Le Coquelicot, are very happy and honored to meet your desired changes and your smiles.
*******************************
Dear Dr.Iizuka and the clinic staff,
Thank you very much for the surgery you did for us. We are very happy with the perfect breasts we have now and love wearing low-cut dresses to flaunt our new appearance. Every time we look in the mirror, we feel so good and confident, it’s such a wonderful feeling! The scars have healed nicely and we don’t even notice them anymore. We were so right we chose your clinic.
Again, thank you so much for everything and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
( Appearing below was written by the same patient as her personal experience)
My sister and I used to have a hang-up about having poor looking breasts since we were young. We always envied girls with ample breasts and it was our dream to have luxurious and glamorous ones, so together we made the big decision to get breast augmentation to make our lives happier and more enjoyable.
Naturally the first thing we did was search for the right clinic, as there are so many out there. The points we thought important in choosing the clinic were as follows:
(1) The surgeon is experienced and reliable
(2) The clinic is clean and well-equipped
(3) The treatment cost is reasonable
(4) The staff members are kind and friendly and easy to consult with
(5) There is appropriate medical aftercare service
We thought it wasn’t always a smart idea to use any well-known or high-toned clinics. And of course we would avoid cheap and clumsy ones. We needed a firm, bona fide one. After visiting a number of clinics we found Le Coquelicot.
When we first met Dr. Iizuka, his consultation and advice gave us a gut feeling that he was the right surgeon for us. Also the clinic on the whole met all the conditions above. It was such a warmhearted nice clinic, and everyone was so friendly. So, we finally decided to get our operations on the same day last December.
(The implants used were the product of Mentor, and the incisions were made from the infra-mammary folds so that the scars wouldn’t affect the sleeveless fashion.)

Now we feel so happy, like completely new women. We can look at clothes we dared not dream of before and wear whatever we want. Can you imagine how exited we are? How long we have waited to wear heartthrob sexy clothes? We thank the doctor and every one of the clinic staff.
If there is anyone who has a complex of their looks, we definitely recommend Le Coquelicot. We are the evidence! Thank you very much!
LATISSE, to save your eyelashes

Long eyelashes are considered a sign of femininity in many cultures. To that end there is a barrage of products available to artificially enhance the appearance of lashes from mascara to eyelash extensions. However, until now there has been no clinically proven product to enhance a person’s real lashes.
Introducing LATISSE™, the first FDA-approved topical eyelash medicine. LATISSE™ contains a bimatoprost ophthalmic solution which makes your real lashes longer, darker and thicker. In case studies patients lashes were up to 25% longer, 106% fuller and 18% darker in 16 weeks of usage.

Before→After
http://www.latisse.com/BeforeandAfter.aspx?state=30
Application of LATISSE™ is very simple. Using a special applicator, the solution is applied along the base of the upper eyelashes where they meet the skin. The technique is almost the same as applying liquid eyeliner. After application the area should feel moist without runoff.
Please note that LATISSE™ should only be used on the upper eyelid margins, do not apply to the lower eyelid since there is a greater possibility of pigmentation, a
side effect that may occur with excessive application.
How LATISSE™ works is the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle is affected. There is an increase in both the length of the phase, and the number of hairs in the growth phase. You may start seeing results just after 4 weeks, with the optimal effect being reached around 16 weeks.

Mascara and other forms of makeup can still be used, and with naturally enhanced lashes the end result will be more attractive than ever. If you are tired of using fake eyelashes or having eyelash extensions, please feel free to come to our clinic for a free consultation.
