PM to 'tighten' migration rules（BBC)
イギリス 移民問題に対する態度が随分と変わってきたようである。
移民制度が問題でないというわけでもなく、また、移民について懸念することが人種差別であるとも思わない。移民問題は、イギリス人であるということはどういうことかの問題であり、人々は、新しくここに来る人々が法律を守り、英語をしゃべり、社会貢献してくれることを望んでいる、とーーーブラウン首相の言である。
以前にも引用したように、移民制度というのは、
国家の必要に応じて実行されるものでり、必要な能力をもった人材を呼び入れて不法な移民は排除するのが目的なわけである。
このことはどこの国とて変わりはない。

そういえば、Japan Times のあやふやな記事Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003などを引用して、
やはり、先進国イギリスはこうした点でも進歩しているのかもしれない。上記記事は別にして、移民や外国人犯罪報道に関してかなり抑制の効いたバランスのとれたものであるに違いない。参考にしたいものである。

まあ、日本でも外国人犯罪の統計、及び、その報道について日本人の間でも論争があるーーー当ブログでも何度か取り上げたように思うーーーのであるが、先進国イギリスさまもかわらんのじゃないのかね？
またもや、
日本・出身国の実態無視・無知
×根拠のない優越・差別意識・偏見
＝日本はずっと劣悪
の公式が当てはまる一例ではないのか？

Japan is much worse than other countries (though I suppose I am thinking especially of England here) for xenophobic news-reporting日本の外国人嫌いの報道はイギリスよりずっとひどい、という人もいた。Japan Times の記事は、外国人犯罪に関する記事だから、外国人犯罪報道ということかもしれない。
やはり、先進国イギリスはこうした点でも進歩しているのかもしれない。上記記事は別にして、移民や外国人犯罪報道に関してかなり抑制の効いたバランスのとれたものであるに違いない。参考にしたいものである。
