Rainy Weekend

Basically, I stayed at home in this three-day weekend. It was cloudy today. I thought it would not rain today, so I decided to go to somewhere. My wife said that she was in the mood for having good lunch and going for a drive. First, we went to a Japanese food restaurant and had lunch. The price was 1000YEN. It was fair price.

Next, we went to THE VILLAGE OF LILY in FUJIMI KOGEN. I watched an ad of the park in the TV or something. There are many kinds of lilies and the flowers are in full bloom in there. But it was too early except a part of the area. The peak season would be in August. I wanna go there again.

雨の週末

基本的にこの３連休は家にいた。今日は曇り。今日は雨は降らないと思い、どこかへ出掛けることにした。妻は、美味しいお昼を食べてどこかへドライブへ行きたいと行った。最初、日本食レストランへ行ってランチを食べた。価格は1000円。内容を考えると安いと思った。

次に、富士見高原のゆりの里へ行った。テレビか何かでCMを見た。そこにはたくさんの種類のユリが咲いていて、満開だった気がする。しかし一部のエリアを除いて早過ぎた。ピークシーズンは8月。また来たいと思う。

Yunomarukogen trek

Today, I went to Yunomarukogen which is one of my favorite places. Yonomarukogen is famous for Komakusa(dicentra). It is small and produces pink flowers. The flowers were in full bloom now. It was gorgeous.

In Yunomarukogen, I like a bog area especially. But it was foggy. I couldn't take the brilliant green picture.

湯の丸高原トレッキング

今日は、お気に入りの場所の一つである湯の丸高原へトレッキングへ行った。湯の丸高原はコマクサで有名。コマクサは小さく、ピンク色の花を咲かせる。今は満開。見事だった。

湯の丸高原では、特に湿原エリアが好き。しかし、霧だった。鮮やかな緑は撮影できなかった。

Utsukukushigahara / Gosensui Nature Sanctuary trek

Long time no see. It has been about two months since the last time I wrote the blog. Once I skipped out writing the blog, I've lost the incentive to write the one. I would continue to write it again.

Today my wife and I got up in the early morning and went to Utsukushigahara to enjoy trekking. It was very fine day. The air was tremendous clear. I was able to see the faraway view. I was impressed with the sea cloud as well. I expected azalea flowers, but it was a little early.

I walked about 10Km. But I have enough time. I decided to go to nearby Gosensui Nature Sanctuary on the short notice. The sanctuary consists of the two areas. One area is the flat area. The other one is the mountain area. There is a precipitous zigzag in the mountain area. The best scenery is a small waterfall. But the waterfall is in the mountain area. I have walked the long distance in the Utsukushigahara. I was tired, but had started to go to there. On the way to the destination, my knees started quaking. I wondered if I can be back in the parking lot. At last I got to there. I took some pictures. The waterfall is surrounded with the forests. I used the tripod and release as it was darkness. The water flow image taken by the slow shutter was very beautiful.

美ヶ原／御泉水自然園トレッキング

久しぶりの日記。最後に書いてから約2ヶ月経ってしまった。一度サボると、なかなか書く気が起こらなくてそのまま。再び続けようかと思う。

今日は早起きして妻と美ヶ原へトレッキングへ。天気は快晴。空気は非常に澄んでいて、遠くの景色まで見通せた。雲海も見られたのがラッキー。期待していたツツジは少々早過ぎた。

約10Kmを歩いた後、時間に余裕があったので急遽近くの御泉水自然園に行くことに。この自然園は2つのエリアがあって、一つは平坦なコース。もう一つが急勾配な山コース。一番景色が良いのが山コースにある小さな滝。美ヶ原で既に長距離を歩いていたが、そこへ行くことにした。途中、膝が笑ってきて駐車場まで帰れるか不安だったけど、何とか目的地へ到着。何枚か写真を撮った。この滝は森に囲まれていて暗かったので、三脚とレリーズを使用。スローシャッターで撮影した水流が非常に綺麗に撮れた。

The first day of my Golden Week holidays.

My wife went to her hometown. I have been stayed at home with Lisa, my dog.

Today was bad weather. It was so cold and darkness. I heard sometimes thunder rumbling. Lisa was afraid of thunder. She had been in a panic since the big scared sound lasted. So she was walking around the room.

In the morning, I washed my IGNIS sport when the rain stopped. It has been three months since the last time I washed the car. When I finished washing the car, it began to rain again.

In the afternoon I was reading a Design Pattern book. The weather was changing to sunshine, thunder and rain quickly many times. To tell you the truth, I wanted to go to a bookstore. But I didn't want to get my newly washed car dirty. So I stayed at home.


ゴールデンウィーク初日

妻は実家に帰り、愛犬のリサと私は留守番。

今日は最悪の天気。寒くて暗い。時々雷も鳴っていた。リサは雷を怖がる。雷が鳴ると、どうして良いのかわからないらしく、部屋の中を歩き回り続けていた。午前中、雨が止んだ時にスイフトスポーツを３ヶ月ぶりに洗車。洗車が終わると、また雨が降ってきた。午後はデザインパターンの本を読んでいた。天気は晴れ、雷、雨とめまぐるしく変わっていた。本当なら本屋に行きたかったのだが、洗い立ての車を汚したくなかったので家にいた。

Komagane trek

SHO, one of my friends, told me about the good trek course in Komagane. And he gave me the map. My company was holiday today. So my wife and I went on a trek to there today. We parked our car at Kozen temple. We started going on a trek from here. First we went to Ohnuma pond. There were many cherry blossoms around the pond. Then we reached Komagane pond. Fortunately there was no cloud on the mountains. The scenery was pretty good. We walked long distance and enjoyed the first green of spring. On our return route, we came to a fork in a road in the forest. There was not the fork in the map. But I had the portable GPS. I found out where we should go. I realized that GPS devices were useful in a trek.

駒ヶ根トレッキング

知人のSHOさんが駒ヶ根の素敵なトレッキングコースを教えてくれて、地図もくれた。今日は会社が休み。それで今日はそこへ妻とトレッキングへ行った。光前寺に車を停めて、そこからスタート。最初に大沼池へ。池の周りをたくさんの桜が咲いていた。それから駒ヶ根池。幸運にも、山には雲は無し。素晴らしい風景だった。長い距離を歩き、新緑を堪能した。帰路の途中、森の中で地図には無い分岐点に差し掛かった。ハンディGPSのおかげで、進むべき道が分かった。トレッキングではGPSが役立つと実感した。

Cherry blossom-viewing in Azumino.

My wife and I got up at 5:00am and went to Azumino area to enjoy the cherry blossoms. It was raining in the early morning. But the weather became fine after 8:00am. We went to Anyouji, Matsumoto castle, Jouyama park, Kurosawa river and Hotaka river. I love Annyouji and Kurosawa river so much. The shape of the cherry blossom tree in Anyouji was very beautiful. There was a water-laden paddy in front of the cherry blossom. The surface of water reflected the pink color. It was good for the photo.

I took some pictures while taking a walk along the bank of Kurosawa river. Unfortunately Northern Alps was cloudy. So I couldn't take a picture of cherry blossoms against the Northern Alps. But we enjoyed beautiful pink colors.

安曇野桜ツアー

妻と５時起きで安曇野近辺の桜を楽しんできた。朝方雨が降っていたが、８時を過ぎたら晴れになった。安養寺、松本城、城山公園、黒沢川、そして穂高川へ行った。安養寺と黒沢川が特に気に入った。安養寺の桜の木は形が凄く良かった。また、桜の前にある水田の水面にピンク色が反射して絵になる。

黒沢川では堤防を歩きながら何枚か写真を撮った。残念なことに北アルプスは曇っていて、北アルプスを背景に写真を撮ることは出来なかった。綺麗なピンク色は堪能できたのだが…。

Cherry blossom-viewing in Yamanashi.

The cherry blossoms are beautiful now in Yamanashi. My wife and I went to there to enjoy the cherry blossoms. We went to Wanizuka, Shingentsuzumi, Jiunji, and Jitsusouji. The weather was not good. And a part of the cherry blossoms were a little early. In this time, I brought a GPS and recorded the track logs. The tracks we walked are below.

山梨桜ツアー

山梨は今桜が見頃なので妻と桜を見に行ってきた。わに塚の桜、信玄堤、慈雲寺、実相寺へ入ってきた。天気が悪かったのが残念。一部の桜は少々早め。今回はGPS(GARMIN GPSmap 60CSx,SONY GPS-CS1K)持参で歩いた道を記録した。地図は以下の通り。

A presentation in English for the first time.

Today I had some foreign guests. They came to our office with an interpreter. So I intended to explain about the software we have developed in Japanese. Although I have been learning English for quite a long time, I didn't have an opportunity use it as business. Of course I haven't prepared for the presentation in English. But it was a rare chance. I don't know when the next opportunity will come. So I decided to make the presentation in English before a few minutes to do it.

The guests are two groups. So I made the presentation two times. The first time, I was so nervous. Because I have to ad-lib and it was my first presentation in English. I couldn't explain well. But the second time, I could make the presentation calmly. I realized that I have to gain experience to do it well.

When I have finished the last presentation, one of them came to me and offered to shake hands. He said, "Very impressive!" The word motivated me to study English more. It was worth it.


生まれて初めて英語でプレゼン

今日は外国からのゲストを迎えた。彼らは通訳を連れて来社した。なので我々が開発したソフトの説明は日本語で行う予定だった。しかし、英語を長く勉強しているのにも関わらず、仕事で英語を話す機会は皆無。勿論、今日は英語でのプレゼンの準備はしていない。でも貴重な機会だし、次はいつこのような機会が訪れるのかわからない。そしてプレゼンを行うわずか数分前に、英語で行うことに決めた。

ゲストは２グループ。なので２回プレゼンする必要がある。１回目は凄く緊張した。英語でしかもアドリブでやらなければならなかったので、あまりうまく説明できなかった。しかし２回目は落ち着いて説明ができた。やはりうまくなるには場数だなって実感した。

最後のプレゼンを終えたとき、ゲストの１人が私のところへ握手を求めてきた。彼は、「大きな感銘を受けた！」って言ってくれた。この一言で英語勉強のモチベーションが更にアップ。やった甲斐があった…。

Spring has come early this year.

It's been a month since the last time I wrote the blog. We had an abnormally warm winter this year. It was so warm today. So the flowers of Fukujusou(Amur adonis) were in full bloom at Shiga in Matsumoto now. Today, my wife and I went to there and enjoyed them. The festival of Fukujusou will start next week. But the peak season of the flowers might be finished next week.


今年は早く春が来た

一ヶ月ぶりのblog。今年は異常な暖冬だった。今日もとても暖か。そのため松本の四賀では福寿草が満開。今日は妻と出掛けて鑑賞してきた。福寿草祭りは来週から始まるけど、これじゃ来週はピークは終わってしまいそう…。
