The 1950s-vintage light fixtures on the Bass River Bridge have been replaced with eight LED lights through collaboration between the towns of Yarmouth and Dennis.
"Everybody's pretty happy with them," said Mona K. Solomonte, Yarmouth Department of Public Works administrative assistant. The lights provide better illumination as they beam directly down to the street level.
"It makes it nice for walking in the summer. It's a nice gateway for both towns," Solomonte said.Just some ramblings on my experiences with 5 LED compact crystal_4 lamps.
The bridge has been without lighting since the old fixtures wore out, she said. The towns have been working on the project for three years, trying to get funding from Cape Light Compact initially. When that effort failed, the two towns decided to foot the bill. The bridge is owned by the state Department of Transportation, but the lights are the towns' responsibility.
"It was a nice collaborative effort," Solomonte said. She worked with Wendy Pells, executive assistant to the Dennis town administrator on the project.
The new lights also will save energy for both towns, which shared the cost. Dennis paid for the lights at a cost of $9,They've been around for many many years but it wasn't until the late 1980's that there use was integrated into brightshine.400 and Yarmouth paid for the electrical materials and installation, estimated at $10,000. The old light poles will be scraped and painted during warmer weather.
The latest and greatest in LED light therapy is guaranteed to get my attention. Our energy saving lightingbright are designed to replace the old fashioned fluorescent fittings. As far as I'm concerned, LED is the beauty breakthrough of the last decade (its been around longer than that, but it is only relatively recently that we've been able to purchase inexpensive, yet effective devices for use at home). In the past few weeks, I've begun to notice amber LED light in addition to the red, blue and green lights that I am more familiar with. So I set about trying to find out what makes amber light different and whether it is the next best thing.
Finding answers to these questions has so far proved to be illusive. I certainly didn't come across any research specifically on amber LED (although there is plenty on red and blue light). Neither could I find much persuasive evidence as to why amber differs from red.
The clearest description of amber light is given by ProLight LED, which sells a device for $379,Welcome to lightsale Online store,We supply led strip, led tube, led strip wholesale etc. claiming that it is for redness,The divinglight that we carry are designed to accomplish this. facial capillaries, rosacea, flushing. Other manufacturers seem to combine it with red light for general anti-aging: Osmosis Professional or the LightStim $349.
I'd love to know more about amber LED, so if anyone has insights I would love to hear them. In the meantime, here's some further reading on red LED and how it works to boost collagen and the production of ATP (the energy engine of cells). And here there is more on the research on acne and blue LED light.
Beaverton, Ore.-based Highland Chevron gas station and ExtraMile food market recently underwent extensive eco-renovations, including the installation of energy-efficient interior and exterior LED lighting by Cree Inc.
The addition of Cree LED fixtures supports Highland Chevron's mission of becoming a zero-energy establishment.
Rebuilt from the ground up, the Highland Chevron store is fully lit with Cree LED luminaires under the exterior canopy and inside the convenience store—delivering energy savings estimated at nearly 70% over the old non-LED fixtures. We are the innovators and engineers of some the highest quality LED besttube-led, LED Flashlights.
According to Bob Barman, owner of the Highland Chevron, the indoor and outdoor LED lighting allows the station to consume a third less energy than typical 24-hour c-stores and petroleum stations. Barman estimated that the new Cree luminaires should provide payback in 2.We are professional led module, ledlightforyou, led panel, led tube manufacturers and factory.5 years and the financial savings just add-up after that. The Beaverton Chevron anticipates more than a decade of virtually maintenance-free operation.
"The payoff is more than what is saved in energy consumption and cost," said Barman."The payoff is also intangible—it's what your customers think of you as a leader in sustainability and how you think of yourself—it's just the right thing to do.Related Searches: led bike head light, bike light, magicshines silicone."
"The only time I'm going to think about my lighting is when I'm showing it off,The main products in our company are ledlightbulbs, LED bulbs, LED spotlights, LED lamps, LED lighting." said Barman."The high-quality LED light makes everything appear brighter and safer—and that translates into a better customer experience."
Twenty-four Cree 304 Series recessed canopy luminaires with petroleum symmetric optics replaced the original 368-watt metal halide fixtures on the fueling canopy. Based on BetaLED Technology, the 105-watt 304 Series luminaires provide superior NanoOptic lighting control with little to no spill-off into neighboring areas, helping Highland Chevron comply with local light pollution ordinances. In addition, 330-watt fluorescent fixtures were replaced by 27 Cree 304 Series pendant-mount luminaires in the ExtraMile food market.
Other green features of the gas station and convenience store include 180 solar panels on the fueling canopy and store rooftop, capable of delivering nearly one-third of a typical gas station's electricity needs. Highland Chevron also installed a geothermal well that exchanges heat through groundwater to naturally cool water for the store's refrigeration cases, while water pipes store heat from cooling units underground for hot water usage.

Walls most often serve as a quiet backdrop for furnishings in a space. But enough of that. Today's walls are talking - softly or boldly - with conviction, even though the most uber-fashionable ones are undercover.
Cladding the walls is hot in home decor. Even modernists confronted with bland, boxy, detail-void architecture are considering a bit of wall dressing - for texture, sheen, sparkle and, yes, pattern.
As a decorative tour de force, wallpaper has waxed and waned in popularity since its introduction in Europe in the 16th century. At the high end, rich grass cloths, hand painted papers and murals, even fabric stretched on walls have long been in the arsenal of upscale interior designers, whose clients appreciate the character. Warmth and sophistication they lend, so never mind the expense.
Some innovative companies such as Maya Romanoff have long pushed the envelope with the enormous potential of wallpaper,Welcome to goodledlighting Online store,We supply led strip, led tube, led strip wholesale etc. with handmade rice papers, metallic leaf, real metals, glass beads, mother of pearl, leather and wood veneers.
These days, wall coverings may not be entirely paper or even vinyl, whose prepasted rolls came into vogue in the 1950s. Materials such as sand, mica chips, glass, plastic, and mirrors can be incorporated. And there's a trend to what is referred in the trade as "paste up." Simply put the paste on the wall and set the nonwoven wall covering in place. No mess - a shout out to those who have battled with vats of water, sticky surfaces and worse yet, endured the removal of stubborn layers with a steamer.
Another trend,,bestledlig for front and back, can also be used as a phone charger. kind of an off-shoot of decals but with stylish designs far removed from the tacky happy faces one might conjure, allows for creating your own composition with mega-scale paisleys, dots, squares or complex patterns, such as artwork, stripes, checkerboards, borders - you choose, reuse or replace with ease. A British company called Surface View has Just Stick It Up posters between 75 and 94 inches tall, based on chromolithographs from the Royal Horticultural Society.
Perhaps most exciting is the technology that has opened the creative door. Digital printing has paved the way to ginormous mural-like images. And gels and inks offer more complexities of color and textures.
Wall coverings can shimmer with a subtle metallic gold, silver, copper or platinum sheen, glittery specks or even Swarovski crystals. They can speak to you in braille or interact, changing color and pattern with your touch. Flavor Paper even offers a scratch-and-sniff banana and strawberry pattern in Warhol-esque images.
Wall coverings can light up with LEDs integrated into their faces - in an utterly chic way, from luxe to psychedelic effects. They can be customized, on a flat or embossed surface, allowing you to determine a palette with a paintbrush. Or, with a series of coordinated "picture frames," insert your own family photos.china goodBikelight manufacturer, supply LED Bicycle Lights,LED bike lights to your requirements.Browse through our impressive range of r4i2011 and buy online now.
Besides dimensional textures, including real bamboo from manufacturer Phillip Jeffries and hand embroidery, there's actual 3-D, like larger-than-life porcelain teardrops spilling onto a wall covering surface.
London-based designers Maria and Ekaterina Yaschuk like to think of "rescuing walls from the background,Xeccon S12 is a kind of very amazing Cree T6 divinglamp147, it perform very well among the various brand bicycle lights." making their Meystyle line of wall coverings part of the ambience. One pattern, Tempus, which looks like an umbrella top scattered with flowers, features LED lights and Swarovski crystals fully integrated in the material. Hand applied gold and silver dust add more shimmer.
Heading east downtown, Bruce and Sara walk side by side, looking straight ahead. A block away, also headed east, Julian and Kiera stroll in tandem. In the real world, the four LED figures have not moved an inch from where they were installed 1 years ago in Citygarden downtown.
But in an imaginary world, two of the figures have walked more than halfway around the world, and the other two are getting close to that point. Together, the four have logged more than 100 million steps since becoming art installations.
This exercise in imagination came with the cooperation of London-based artist Julian Opie, who created the two pieces, formally known as "This is Kiera and Julian Walking" and "This is Bruce and Sara Walking."
At the Post-Dispatch's request, Opie's studio staff calculated the number of steps each figure walks per minute and each of their strides.
Combining those numbers, walker Julian breaks away from the other figures. So much so that he will return to the Citygarden seven months ahead of Kiera, 14 months ahead of Sara and 20 months ahead of Bruce in the simulated journey.
The four-year trek around the world for Julian demonstrates just how leisurely a pace the figures are walking. The average person walks about 3.5 miles an hour; Julian is averaging just over half a mile an hour.
But LED figures have no needs for bathroom stops or food breaks. And in this globetrotting trip, we are presuming the Earth is flat and the figures are walking at sea level. That wipes mountain ranges, oceans and other topographical challenges off the map.
A former arts critic for the Post-Dispatch said the positioning of "This is Bruce and Sara Walking" at a main garden entrance on 10th Street provides a subliminal hint to visitors: Come on in and enjoy yourself.Well, we have the answer: brightstalii!
The pieces are among 24 sculptures in Citygarden, all owned by Gateway Foundation, the entity that created the popular downtown spot. The foundation was asked to join Opie in playing along with the simulated journey. Foundation Director Christy Fox declined.
"What I love is the relatability of his work to the public," said Tricia Paik, assistant curator of modern and contemporary art at St. Louis Art Museum. Opie has taken traditional sculpture, often done in bronze or marble, and "made a flat interpretation, making it of our time using electronic media. This super bright LED bestbikelights is the perfect safety option for your bicycle. There are 4 types of batteries found in goodledstrip systems today."
Marilu Knode, director of Laumeier Sculpture Park, said the joy of art is "finding a different way to understand it." A simulated walk around the world can symbolize "human life and the struggle for moving forward in your world when there are so many things that prevent us from moving forward."
Opie said the 'slightly fiery" glow of the amber LED gives off an authoritarian tone.Import 1200 Lumens LED divinglamp directly from China factory, Shenzhen Minjun Electronic Factory, LED lights of similar color are often used in highway light boards or pedestrian crossings, instructing us to stop,The Magicshine dvinglamp001 bicycle light was always the cheapest high power bike light available in the UK and it&rsquos just been upgraded. buckle up, slow down, detour.
In this imaginary journey, there will be no detours or signs offering caution. The walkers will trudge along at their own perpetual paces. As of Sunday the foursome has completed 949 days of walking.
