Just by increasing your search ranking and where your website places on Google doesn’t mean you’re going to get all of a sudden get that flood of traffic that you want. Trends adjusts search data to make comparisons between terms easier. Each data point is divided by the total searches of the geography and time range it represents, to compare relative popularity. Your target keywords should be in the H1 tag. Your H1 however can be different from the title tag. It doesn’t have to be – you won’t be penalised for having the same title tag and h1 tag for a web-page (after all, most CMS generate this automatically) – but varying the keyword phrasing of both can increase your chances of appearing for different search intents. Make sure every page of your site contains at least several hundred words of helpful, well-written, relevant content; and optimize all your title tags and meta descriptions while you're at it.

Not only that, search engines consider a large number of broken links as a signal of an old, neglected site and this can impact your SEO ranking. If a site, or specific page, has a lot of backlinks pointing to it, Google then sees this page or site as credible. Your URL’s should include your main keywords, but make sure you keep them short and friendly. Try to limit the number of characters as much as possible. Although page titles might vary, all pages seem the same as all descriptions are equal. The safest way to ensure there are no duplicate content problems is to use a rel=canonical tag on the republished article. This will tell Google that the linked article is the original and therefore should be indexed, and any ranking benefits will be passed through.
