数週間、音沙汰がなかったフランス・パリの青少年から予定通りの７月２７日朝に東京に着きますと連絡が
入りました。
１４歳のトーマス君１７歳のミレーバさんと２３歳のジョン君
8月末までの短期囲碁留学です。
日本で碁を学び日本文化に触れる目的です。
昨年も数名の欧州から囲碁短期留学の青年達が来ていました。
本格的に囲碁界は受け入れ体制を作れば、もっともっと多くの世界にプレイヤー達がやってくると思います。

７月24日からフィンランドのTampere で第５４回欧州囲碁選手権戦が開催されます。
現在５４５名の申し込みがあります。
日本からも６０名前後の方が参加するようです。

The French boy, Jan contacted me to tell me that he will arrive in Tokyo on the 27th. He will be coming with 14year old Thomas and 17year old Milena.
They will be staying until the end of August to study Go and experience Japanese culture.
There were also few boys who came last year for studying Go.

From the 24th of July, the 54th European Go Congress will be taking place in Tampere, Finland.
There are already 545 who have applied to participate.
